Pride is more than a month—it's a way of life. Hampton Roads Pride is dedicated to celebrating love, unity, and diversity through vibrant festivals and events. We invite everyone to join us in the celebration, experience incredible performances, and embrace an atmosphere of acceptance and joy. It’s not just an event—it’s a powerful expression of authenticity, community, and pride.

A key aspect of this project was developing a Pride Weekend brand that the organization loves while ensuring it evolves seamlessly year after year. We established a solid foundation that fosters brand recognition and consistency yet remains flexible enough to adapt and grow with each new celebration.

A scalable
identity system

The creation of the Hampton Roads Pride Weekend logo was meticulously developed to ensure scalability and adaptability for years to come. While maintaining consistent structural elements, such as the iconic star and equalizer Es, we strategically employed color coding to emphasize key themes throughout each event season.

Colors that radiate energy, creativity, and confidence

The Hampton Roads Pride color palette features vibrant, bold, and energetic hues of purple, pink, yellow, green, and blue, crafting an eye-catching and uplifting visual identity. Designed to be both fun and dynamic, the palette evokes a strong sense of joy and celebration, perfectly reflecting the spirit of the organization.

Conscious of non-profit client’s needs

Hampton Roads Pride, as a non-profit organization, ensures that every donation is maximized to create the greatest impact. To support the in-person nature of Pride Weekend, Affari has developed a system that utilizes a core set of branded materials designed for long-term use. These durable items are expected to last for years—just like the enduring spirit of the brand itself.

2 X Impressions

Affari partnered with Hampton Roads Pride for approximately six weeks leading up to the event. One of our focus areas was paid advertising and we achieved impressive results: page views nearly doubled, and impressions more than doubled, significantly boosting visibility and engagement.

2 X People Reached, CTC Decreased

During those same six weeks, the number of people reached nearly doubled, while the cost per click (CPC) decreased. With diligent monitoring of ad performance, Affari helped Hampton Roads Pride reach a larger audience and maximize the impact of every dollar spent.

Pride Weekend is an explosion of color! Affari not only developed the branding for this event and helped with the digital marketing, but we also got to put rainbows on flags, banners, stage scrims, tents, event materials, wall displays and so much swag—stickers, water bottles, t-shirts, pens, coolies, bottle openers, pint glasses, softies, key rings, bandanas, buttons, fans, fanny packs, and lots of pet accessories!
