When you meet Evie, our Creative Director, she’s a lot like her designs, smart, impactful, and effortlessly beautiful. As a mother, Evie loves that she can spend time with her family and tend to her design work seamlessly, both of which bring her joy. No matter the project, Evie leaves our clients feeling inspired by her visual creations. When she’s not leading our design projects, you’ll find Evie in her vegetable garden, or building sandcastles with her little ones along the shores of Chic’s Beach, in the Chesapeake Bay.

When it comes time to bring a hammer to nail, Daman is in charge. He works tirelessly to ensure that every client project is brought to fruition on time and within budget as Affari’s project manager. Daman clearly communicates our clients’ vision into actionable items for our team of designers, strategists, and developers to execute. Through his dedication and thoughtful leadership, our clients enjoy a collaborative process that results in lasting relationships that go beyond the project deadline. When he’s not at work, Daman enjoys spending time with his wife and their young son Henry, either at the beach or in their backyard barbequing with friends and family.

An adventurer at heart, June lives by the motto, “Not all who wander are lost.” Her pursuits have allowed her to call San Francisco, Seattle, Honolulu, the Rocky Mountains, and the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina her home. When it comes to our clients, June is the brains behind the strategy work that we do. She thrives on developing the right go-to-market strategy, the right brand message, and identifying the right target audience. When she’s not working, you’ll find her with her sweetheart Oscar, enjoying some craft beers at their neighborhood brewery or hitting the trails with their cattle dog, Foxy.

Max’s energy is electrifying, which makes him the perfect man for the job when it comes to our digital marketing side of the house. He’s got his finger on the pulse of top marketing trends, and he’s always innovating and pushing the bounds to deliver tremendous value for our clients. He brings serious hustle and smarts to every project. When not wowing our clients, Max enjoys spending time with his wife and their 3 mischievous feline fur babies in his hometown of Norfolk, Virginia.

Joel is Affari’s funny man and brings a measured sense of humor to our weekly team calls. He loves all things British, especially watching his favorite London footballers, Tottenham Hotspur. In all seriousness, Joel is the brains behind the front-end development of our client’s websites. We rely on his creative chops and ability to wield HTML, CSS and jQuery into beautiful front-end design. To this end, professional growth is a priority for Joel, so you’ll often find him attending workshops and conferences to sharpen his skills. When he’s not coding, Joel likes exploring new West Coast cities with his wife. You can also find him hitting the Virginia Beach boardwalk with his dog Lychee during warm summer nights.

On the team, we refer to Scott as the quiet genius, and we’re not mincing words here. That’s why it's no surprise that his favorite quote is by Albert Einstein, “Everyone knew it was impossible until a fool who didn't know came along and did it.” With 10 years’ experience as a full-stack software developer, Scott loves tackling our client’s most tenuous and formidable problems. He builds powerful solutions to help them sleep better at night. When not behind the computer, Scott volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters and the YMCA in his hometown of Missoula, Montana. He enjoys spending time with his kiddos and hitting the local craft beer scene.

Stacey rides motorcycles, water skis, and wakeboards; she’s also a mother, a wife, and a fiercely talented artist. She brings the “cool” to Affari. Stacey captures our client’s imagination through her designs and crafts, something truly unique to help them stand out in the crowd. Her special talent? Stacey creates beautiful illustrations and hand lettering. She’s the one you want in the fold when you’re doing a logo design or brand project. Her favorite quote is, “Craft magic out of your tragedies, and use the strength of your story to bring you closer to love.” Stacey brings beauty and grace to our team, and each client project she touches.

Matt plays a critical role in our team by taking web designs and translating them into beautiful websites for our clients. Once launched, Matt ensures that our clients’ sites remain safe and secure, and he also handles any server issues we may run across. When he’s not keeping up on all things tech with his favorite podcasts TechSNAP and Linux Action News, you’ll find him biking and hiking in his hometown in Hillsborough, NC.

Kiah is a true renaissance man. He is a third-generation Montanan who grew up on a horse farm and got married to his love, Hanna, in -15-degree weather just outside of Glacier National Park. Kiah wears a beard well, he could save you in an avalanche situation, and prefers whiskey over wine. Having founded two startups (one failed, one merged), Kiah has deep empathy for the challenges facing business owners. At Affari, he provides strategic direction and support to senior leadership in recruitment, business development, and finance.

Everything begins and ends with Drew. He is the reason why Affari exists. He is the head and the heart of this company and the reason why we get to show up every day and do the work that matters. Which is pretty special. Drew embodies servant leadership by fostering autonomy, providing ongoing support to his team, and ensuring that his employees have everything they need to be successful. Steve Jobs famously said, “It doesn't make sense to hire smart people and tell them what to do; we hire smart people so they can tell us what to do.” Drew is our Jobs. Over the last 9 years, Drew has carefully cultivated a team of creatives, dreamers, hustlers, and strategists that work with brands big and small, making the world a kinder, cooler place. When Drew’s not working, you’ll find him hitting the pavement logging some serious mileage on his early morning runs. He also enjoys playing with his rambunctious pups along the Virginia Beach coastline with his spouse. In short, Drew doesn’t let the grass grow under his feet.
